General Purpose

Performs professional level legal duties as required to provide legal council and defense of indigent or otherwise qualified persons charged with a crime as assigned or directed by the court. Performs full performance level administrative and management duties to direct the operation of the Public Defender’s Office.

Bonneville County Public Defender’s Office

The Bonneville County Public Defender’s Office works on cases assigned by the Bonneville County Courts. Defendants qualify for representation by being indigent. We handle misdemeanors, felonies, child protection, mental commitments, juveniles, domestics, contempt hearings, guardianships, extraditions, among other assignments.

Our hours of business are Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and we are located at the corner of Capital and D streets.
