GERALD LINN HAMLIN OF PUYALLUP WASHINGTON INDICTED
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO. A Bonneville County Grand Jury has indicted Gerald Linn Hamlin, 61, of Puyallup, Washington, for Principle to First Degree Murder, Accessory to First Degree Murder and Concealment/Destruction of Evidence related to the murder of 36 year-old Morey Pelton.
Pelton was found deceased from a single gunshot wound on May 13, 2022, at the Lane Clark Rest Area along U.S. Highway 26 between Ririe and Swan Valley, in Bonneville County.
Hamlin was arrested in Kitsap County, Washington, where he waived extradition.
Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies have transported Hamlin to the Bonneville County Jail where he will now await further court proceedings.
Randy Michael Larkin is currently awaiting trial on the charge of First Degree Murder related to Pelton’s death.
Randy Neal, Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney, stated, “although I am committed to openness and transparency, under Idaho law, prosecutors are largely restricted from making out-of-court statements related to criminal cases.”
