The Transfer Station has new temporary hours and will be accepting limited loads due to maintenance inside the Transfer Station building October 14, 2025 through November 24, 2025. Please see below for more details.
Temporary Hours October 14, 2025 - November 24, 2025: Mon - Sat 7:00am - 5:00pm
Holiday Hours: Closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
7:00 am – 2:00 pm all other holidays and the day after Thanksgiving
The Transfer Station will be partially closed October 14, 2025 - November 24, 2025 due to maintenance inside the Transfer Station Building. During that time, only the following refuse will be accepted:
Small loads, maximum of four (4) bags or two (2) trash containers, one mattress set, etc.
The following items will still be accepted:
Metal recyclables
Cardboard recycling
All Freon-containing items (refrigerators, freezers, AC units, etc.)
Tires - see tire disposal fees below
Motor Oil and Antifreeze (5 gallons max each) will be accepted Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 8am-4pm with personnel available for disposal assistance.
All other municipal waste including furniture, grass clippings, and leaves will be diverted to Peterson Hill Landfill. Please visit the Peterson Hill Landfill page for more information including location and hours.
*Dead animals/carcasses and large quantities of agriculture waste must be hauled to Peterson Hill Landfill. Please make appointment for disposal by calling Transfer Station at (208) 528-5550.
Electronic waste (e-waste) such as computers, monitors, printers, copy machines, consumer electronics, etc. are not accepted. Please take e-waste to a qualified e-waste recycler:

Proof of Residency
Any person bringing items to a Solid Waste Facility in Bonneville County in a vehicle registered in another county/state will be asked to produce proof of residence in Bonneville County. Acceptable proof will be a current driver’s license issued at a Bonneville County address, a utility bill with a Bonneville County address, or a tax notice for property in Bonneville County. All names on documents must match the name of the person bringing the items/load to the Solid Waste Facility.
The County also reserves the right to inspect and reject any load or portion of load at any of the Solid Waste Facilities.
